Pressure-Reducing and Sustaining Control Valve – Nahrab Gostar

Application

Nahrab pilot-operated automatic control valves regulate pressure and flow in water pipelines without external power. A hydraulic control circuit uses the pressure difference across the valve and a precision pilot to maintain stable downstream pressure as upstream pressure and flow demand change.

This dual-pilot valve reduces downstream pressure while sustaining a minimum upstream pressure. The sustaining pilot protects the upstream network from excessive pressure loss, while the reducing pilot maintains the selected downstream pressure as flow demand changes.
